Dress Up & Hair Masques

So, I tried out a "home made" hair masque tonight. I put home made in quotations because it is basically a blend of products melted together.

What you need is a heat proof mixing pot, a teaspoon a knife and some hot water, you want about two egg cups full of water.

Then with the knife cut a small piece of Lush Snake bite scalp treatment, and a slightly larger piece of Lush Jungle solid conditioner and put into the heat proof pot. The sizes you cut should be about equal to a couple of sugar cubes.

Then pour on the hot water and stir with the tea spoon until all has melted into the water. Next add about a table spoon of olive oil and stir that into the mixture, too. Then leave to cool, while the mixture cools it will take on an egg yolk like consistency. Once ready comb your hair through to make sure it in detangled and then begin to apply the mixture in sections until all hair is covered (best to do this in the bathroom to avoid any possible mess) once applied massage the mixture into your scalp and then clip your hair out of the way if it is long enough to do so. If you have short hair you may not need the full amount of mixture, but it can not be stored to use another time, it's best to use fresh.

Leave on the hair for approximately 20 minutes and then rinse with warm water, shampoo if desired. You should be left with a scalp that feels fresh and hydrated and hair that is soft and silky.

Try it out!

In other news, it was Halloween last weekend as we all know and I was very much a throw back to 80s neon.

Here is a photo of my make up look, inspired by the likes of David Bowie and more recently, Lady Gaga.

I used Party lashes from Royal as you can see they are black with lots of pink running through them, they looked pretty funky and I got asked where I got them quite a few times. If you remember in a previous blog I mentioned a trip to Newton Abbot Trago Mills, that is the very lashes I bought for under £2! For the rest of the look I used to black face paint as a base for the lightening bolt the Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol II and the Manly professional 120 palette, and MAC's Pink Poodle lipglass I primed my skin with Avon Magix face perfector and used a little YSL Effect Faux Cils on my natural lashes to blend.

I am currently road testing new products, Clinque skin care and some things from Lush I've not used before such as their Aromacreme natural deodorant. I'll let you know what I think in an up coming video review.

Oh I also have some new boots from Matalan that cost £24!! I'd lusted after them and in the end gave in and bought them.

Ain't they pretty!

Cosmetics wise I have a few new things such as a few drug store nail polishes and MAC's Deep Truth eye shadow, which I love!

More to come soon, until then, stay fabulous!
