Too Fabulous, It's Spring!

So I needed a little pick-me-up and what better way than to head to the MAC counter and look at all the new pretties (old pretties to our American friends)

I swatched some stuff from the Spring Colour Forecast and Too Fabulous collections and, knowing I couldn't have it all, decided just to pick up the 4 items I liked best for now.

This consisted of Double Dare Cremesheen Glass from the Too Fabulous collection and from Spring Colour Forecast I got the Ripe Peach Blush Ombre, Malibu Peach Nail Lacquer and the Purple Rage Lipglass. I am lusting after the Crushed Metal Pigment stack from Colour 1 as well, so hoping my MAC counter will still have some in stock when I have some funds to justify spending on pretty things for myself (who decided that paying boring things like bills was a good idea that we must all comply with?)

Anyway, I am happy with the modest little haul I got from the new collections for now, there are others with much more funky looking packaging coming to us shortly, not to mention the Gaga and Cyndi Viva Glam lipsticks which are released in the UK on March 18th.

I also got me a little bargain as well, a back up Urban Decay 24/7 Super Stash set of liners for under ten English pounds as there is an awesome sale going on right now. I went into Debenhams in the hope of comparing the Alice in Wonderland book of shadows to the previous Book of Shadows Vol II and much to my frustration found out my local Debenhams have decided not to bother getting any in (you suck for this Debenhams!) So I walked away without one of those and took solace in my stash bargain instead. Perhaps it's not meant to be, the colours within the palette are nothing new anyway, I seem to already have many of them under their original names in other palettes, so no need to be too broken up about it I suppose (she says unconvincingly)

Anyhow, I hope all my beauty buffs out there in the world are doing well, until the next blog or vlog, peace and love to all xox

Modest MAC Collection

Hi there lovely ones.

I have taken a couple photos of my MAC collection, consider them organised chaos (for artistic effect you see haha) and written up a list of the MAC products I currently have. Please bear in mind that this blog post is in no way a bragging episode (my collection is in no way large enough to qualify for bragging rights anyway) I'm not feeling very well and quite frankly have been in bed a lot and am getting so bored I just decided to do this to pass a little time this evening.

I've also done this so other MAC users can perhaps recommend something to add to this modest collection or give their personal opinion of experience with the products I've listed below.

If you have any questions about a product in my collection, leave me a comment and I'll do my best to answer. What I love about the beauty community is that we can all share our tips, tricks and opinions so we can all be knowledgeable about what we spend our money on and what we should probably avoid.

Naughty, Naughty Girl!

Yeah so, don't let a girl with a compulsive personality near a MAC counter or Lush shop, it only leads to her being very naughty. Case in point with today's "I can't afford this, but I'm buying it anyway" haul.

So in MAC I was lucky enough to get the last Full of Fuchsia eyeliner which was stashed away in a drawer along with a Violet Trance eyeshadow and a Obviously Orange eyeliner. So what do I do, seeing this as probably my last chance to get my addictive little hands on these items I uttered the words "I'll have those" along with the Fix + and Fabulush Cream Colour Base that upon looking at I could not resist, especially after hearing that it would "look lovely on my skin tone" I'm an easy sell at the best of times. I think I need to go into rehab for this - there would probably be such a thing in Hollywood perhaps. But here in Blighty I very much doubt it.

Then there was Lush, I ended yo getting the biggest sized bottle of Snow Fairy, I've recently fallen in love with it's candy scent and knowing it's only going to be around for the festive season panicked and got myself another bottle, of course while in there, the evil eye of shoppers lust crept up on me once more so I ended up getting Curly Wurly shampoo and Retread conditioner as well.

When I got home the shoppers remorse kicked in, but depotting a couple MAC shadows (Deep Truth and today's Violet Trance) gave me something else to focus on.

I must say however, I've used my Benefit Coralista a couple of times now and so far I'm not entirely sure what all the fuss is about with it, I'm a bit underwhelmed with it to be honest, perhaps it just isn't suitable for my skin tone, but it just seems a bit blah when I put it on. Maybe there is a technique to its application which will have me falling in love with it? If so please do let me know as I want to go from blah to wow! quite badly.

So yeah, as I now know my picture taking skills are not that great just yet, may have something to do with the camera I'm using, either way. I have opted to delight you with some more professional looking photos of the items bought today. Just on the off chance someone may want to have a gander.

I'm really excited to try out the new Lush hair products. I'm hoping to be able to rave about them as much as I do King of the Mods.

Anyway that's it for now. I'm going to do a foundation routine video for the old Youtube channel in the very near future.

Take care x

An "I Miss You" Haul

So I had my lovely friend Pam visit me this weekend. I was sad to see her go today, this inspired some retail therapy. This weekend I bought more than I know I should have, couldn't help it though - it's like a compulsion/addiction with me.

Photobucket

Pearl Drops tooth polish as I am currently obsessed with the idea of dazzling white Hollywood style teeth. Johnson's 3 in 1 eye make-up remover as I've decided I'm over the Simple one. The Comforter solid perfume from Lush as it smells, well, lush! Also got some Lush Soak n float and Mask of Magnamity to try.

Photobucket

I bought two copies of Glamour magazine for the Nails Inc give away this weekend the colours Shoreditch, Victoria & Albert.

Also pictured is Benefit Coralista that I felt left out with all the raving about it, so gave in and took advantage of the £5 I had on my beauty club card and the 10% off in Debenhams and bought myself one, I'm now in with the Coralista crowd phew!

To the right are the set of 5 Beauty Box glitter eyeliners I bought. I was sad to see they didn't have shade names so I took it upon myself to name the colours: L-R Clandestine, Twinkle, Purple Haze, Hawaii, Dollar Bill.

Photobucket

Speaking of the Debenhams 10% off deal, I finally got around to getting the Urban Decay 24/7 Super Stash the colours included in the set: Top to Bottom, Stash, Ransom, Graffiti, Rockstar, Binge, Corrupt, Oil Slick, Zero, Eldorado.

Photobucket

Last but not least I treated myself to some cheap costume jewellery a couple of statement rings from Primark at under £3.00 each and some diamanté hoop earrings that were I think maybe £2.00 at the most. The embellished alice band is from Claire's Accessories and is priced at £7.00. Also pictured is a Hello Kitty compact mirror and "Fame" necklace which my Mum got me today also from Claire's Accessories.

So that is it, a video showing these products in more detail will hopefully be available via my Youtube channel as of tomorrow sometime.

Until then, take care and chat to you again soon.

P.S.

How did I manage to forget this! I went into MAC and bought one of the holiday collection lip sets and a Funtabulous dazzleglass.

The lip set includes: Gitane, Angel Wing, Magnetique, Pinkular, Instant Gold.

Adding to the collection

Today, I went on a mission - find new bargains to add to the 'beauty kit' I managed to find make-up brushes, eyelash adhesive and a few other bits and pieces all cheap as chips.

I went to Trago Mills in Newton Abbot with my Mum where I got a standard black tool box for £5.99 and this is now my very organised nail tools and supplies kit. I also bought some false lashes in case I do find the motivation to head out for Halloween, I got some funky pink and black ones for the occasion. I picked up a storage drawer thing to put my most used cosmetics in, like my MAC, Urban Decay, YSL etc etc.

Then there was the super cute Hello Kitty necklace I got in a quaint little jewellery shop where I also found a pair of awesome retro looking earrings. In a shop called Buyology I found some other make-up related bargains in the shape of more make-up brushes which included an angled eyeliner brush for £1.49.

Oh I just need to back track a moment, I also bought some false nail tips in white and natural finishes for the nail kit from Trago that cost less than £2.00 each!

Anyway, back on track:

I went to a shop called Chaplins and got a Nailene artificial nail remover kit for about £2.99 and a cute little diary for 2010. I also picked up some Q-tips, make-up remover wipes and cotton pads.

Am really happy with what I got today, it's nice to treat yourself when you have the chance. It was also absolutely lovely just to spend a day out with my Mum, which just added to how nice a day it was.
