So, I have decided I'm in love with a new shampoo and conditioner, they smell divine, are thick, creamy and the shampoo lathers a treat. My afro type hair is left feeling soft, manageable, and with just a little bit of King of the Mods for styling my curls are defined, luscious and have nice movement.

What could this magical shampoo and luxurious condition be?

Well it's Curly Wurly from Lush and Retread also by Lush.

These products have been chosen for me to rave about as they are simply...well...wonderful.




I also managed to break my self imposed shopping ban, I simply couldn't resist. I'm well known for having very little will power haha.

so what did I shamefully (albeit gleefully) purchase. There was of course a small investment in a couple more Lush products to try Fresh Farmacy facial soap and their Sugar Scrub




Both are to be road tested and given the thumbs up or down for their effectiveness and all round yum factor.

I also got a few more make-up bargains and well as broke my Model's Own cherry shall we say by finally placing an order on their website, it's been a long time coming, when those products arrive I shall give you a glance. I got some nail polish, lipgloss and eyeshadow powders.

Now on to those delicious bargains, as mentioned before, what girl doesn't love one!

Again impressed with the pigmentation of the colours considering the price!

You Beauty glitter liquid and pencil eyeliners. As a give away in Top of the Pops magazine believe it or not so technically £2.80 if like me only buying the magazine for the freebie. The liquid liners glide on easily and you get a good pay off of coloured glitter, as you can see you get an emerald green, a purple that seems to have flacks of hot pink running through it and a standard silver. The pencil liners have a bit of drag on them, but I wont complain considering how I came to own them, but the colours are very pretty with subtle flecks of glitter, perfect for the holiday season!

Oh how could I possibly forget! the 88 palette I order a few weeks ago came and I have somehow forgot to mention this (slapped wrist for Miss Shoptastic)



Mine is not the Coastal Scents version, mine is a copy from Hong kong, nevertheless the colours are beautiful and I'm excited to start creating looks from this palette.

LAst but not least is the Christmas present to myself I bought back along and also somehow forgot to mention. I got a brush roll complete with a full set of brushes for the whole face (12 in total) for £10.00 in Asda Walmart, I bought this after a fellow make-up loving friend of mine alerted me to it's existence after buying one herself, and I must agree that it's an absolute steal.

So I had my lovely friend Pam visit me this weekend. I was sad to see her go today, this inspired some retail therapy. This weekend I bought more than I know I should have, couldn't help it though - it's like a compulsion/addiction with me.



Pearl Drops tooth polish as I am currently obsessed with the idea of dazzling white Hollywood style teeth. Johnson's 3 in 1 eye make-up remover as I've decided I'm over the Simple one. The Comforter solid perfume from Lush as it smells, well, lush! Also got some Lush Soak n float and Mask of Magnamity to try.



I bought two copies of Glamour magazine for the Nails Inc give away this weekend the colours Shoreditch, Victoria & Albert.

Also pictured is Benefit Coralista that I felt left out with all the raving about it, so gave in and took advantage of the £5 I had on my beauty club card and the 10% off in Debenhams and bought myself one, I'm now in with the Coralista crowd phew!

To the right are the set of 5 Beauty Box glitter eyeliners I bought. I was sad to see they didn't have shade names so I took it upon myself to name the colours: L-R Clandestine, Twinkle, Purple Haze, Hawaii, Dollar Bill.



Speaking of the Debenhams 10% off deal, I finally got around to getting the Urban Decay 24/7 Super Stash the colours included in the set: Top to Bottom, Stash, Ransom, Graffiti, Rockstar, Binge, Corrupt, Oil Slick, Zero, Eldorado.



Last but not least I treated myself to some cheap costume jewellery a couple of statement rings from Primark at under £3.00 each and some diamanté hoop earrings that were I think maybe £2.00 at the most. The embellished alice band is from Claire's Accessories and is priced at £7.00. Also pictured is a Hello Kitty compact mirror and "Fame" necklace which my Mum got me today also from Claire's Accessories.

How did I manage to forget this! I went into MAC and bought one of the holiday collection lip sets and a Funtabulous dazzleglass.



The lip set includes: Gitane, Angel Wing, Magnetique, Pinkular, Instant Gold.

So, today I went and had a gander at the cosmetics that are currently available to me in my local town centre. I was thrilled to discover that my local branch of Superdrug has started to stock Sleek cosmetics. I’ve heard some wonderful things about their gel eyeliners and also seen a good review in the beauty pages of their eye shadow palettes. As a drugstore brand the products are of course good value for money. A gel eyeliner will only set you back about £4 which when compared to the price of say a MAC fluid line, you’ve got yourself a nice bargain there!

Today was also a day of surprises, my Mum did me the honour of handing me a purple gift bag, which when I looked inside contained two very nice pairs of earrings. I’ve taken the liberty of photographing them to share with my readers (although not sure how many of those I have in these early days of blog writing)

I would also like to rave about Lush King of the Mods hair gel, smells strong in the pot fair enough, but on the hair is a subtle almost fruity citrus scent which I love and when applied to towel dry hair and combed through leaves me with a head of beautifully defined frizz free curls - which as a girl of ethnic background definitely makes this a star hair styling product as I’ve figuratively gone to the ends of the Earth in the hunt for the perfect product to provide me with the luscious curls I craved once I made the decision that wearing my hair straight was quite frankly a chore and definitely put me into the High Maintenance bracket of women.

I also tried out AllThatGlitters21 (Elle) on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/allthatglitters21 Vaseline trick as I was wearing a pair of boots today that still require some breaking in and it totally worked! So thank you to her for the “stop shoes hurting you with Vaseline” tip provided on her channel.
